The Role of the Artist
The US Department of Art & Technology promotes the ideal of a new era of international dialogue between the arts and government to help establish a peaceful, more culturally-engaged world, and to redefine the role of the artist as a mediator whose reflections, ideas, sensibilities, and abilities can take significant action on the world stage.

While artists weren't necessarily involved, our politicians have certainly gone through dissolution. Creepy broadcast, great multi-media project - creative and thought provoking. Almost Orwellian. Need to understand the "Secretary" is an artist - not a gov't guy.

Does sound odd
Don't know what he actually means,
can't really make it out but I would say that I think the artist,
should be free of the gov't.
duno though many artists sustain their livelyhood from the donations of society.
dissolution--From Latin dissolutio (“a dissolving, destroying, breaking up, dissolution”)

creeped out just a bit....
I don't want government to join with the artist(s) in a "dissolution of reality." That sounds alarming, making artists propaganda technicians serving the state's agenda, invested in battling against the so-called reality-based community."
Whether a democrat or a republican is president, that sounds like a bad idea.
